To help ensure children continue to have access to healthy food during the summer, New York City’s Summer Meals Program offers free breakfast and lunch to all children and teens.
Meals are available at select public schools, parks, community pool centers, libraries, and food trucks throughout the five boroughs.

Eligibility Requirements
To receive free meals, individuals must be:
- 18 years old or younger
No registration, documentation, or identification is required.
2026 Service Dates
The Summer Meals Program runs from Monday, June 29, 2026, through Friday, September 4, 2026.
Please note: Meals will not be served on Friday, July 3, 2026.
Meal Service Times
Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 9:15 AM
Lunch: 11:00 AM – 1:15 PM
What Do I Need to Bring?
Nothing. Children and teens can receive meals without registering or providing documentation, identification, or proof of income.

Free meals are available at hundreds of locations throughout New York City, including schools, parks, libraries, community pool centers, and food trucks.
